Keep the Cameras Rolling in Your Community!

TV shows and movies have been filmed in towns across America for decades, but more of them are leaving for other countries. Let’s bring them home, along with the local jobs, small business sales, and visitors that come with them.

Use the form below to ask Congress: Support the bipartisan Motion Picture, Television, and Entertainment Revitalization Act!

Ask Congress to Bring Production Home to American Communities

What Happens When the Cameras Come to Town?

When a TV series films in your community, it hires local crews, books hotel rooms, rents gear from the hardware store, and orders lunch from the diner down the street. Then the show airs, and fans start planning trips to see it in person.

But dozens of countries now offer national incentives to pull productions away, and states are left competing on their own. A federal incentive that stacks with state programs would help bring production back home.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • America’s share of global film and TV production has dropped from about 65% to about 45%, and it could keep falling without action.
  • A single TV series location shoot hires more than 1,850 local workers on average.
  • The industry supports 162,000 businesses in all 50 states, and 93% are small businesses.
