For the first time since 1994, the world’s biggest sporting event is back on American soil.
The details: The 2026 FIFA World Cup runs from June 11 through July 19, with matches across 16 host cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It’s the first-ever three-country World Cup, the first to feature 48 teams, and it all wraps up with the Final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. With 104 total matches, this is the biggest World Cup in history.
How to Watch
Viewers will have plenty of ways to follow every match, whether you prefer watching live on TV, streaming on demand, or catching up on highlights.
- On TV: FOX Sports holds U.S. English-language broadcast rights, with all 104 matches airing live across FOX (70 matches) and FS1 (34 matches). Because of the expanded 48-team field, the knockout stage now opens with a Round of 32, with those matches split across FOX and FS1. From the Round of 16 through the Final, every knockout game airs on FOX.
- Streaming: Every match will stream live and on demand through FOX One and the FOX Sports app. FOX One is a new standalone streaming service for viewers who want flexible access without a traditional cable package.
- Free options: The opening match (Mexico vs. South Africa, June 11) and the USA’s first group stage game (vs. Paraguay, June 12) will be available to stream for free on Tubi, no subscription required.
- Spanish-language coverage: Telemundo and Peacock carry the full tournament in Spanish, with Telemundo broadcasting 92 matches free over the air and Peacock Premium streaming all 104.
